An exhibition that reveals a passion for beautifully crafted objects is planned for Bath’s One Two Five Gallery this Easter. One Two Five Gallery is the showcase for the work of its artist/ directors Carole Waller and Gary Wood.
Carole Waller specialises in hand painted and printed clothing, paintings and glass works. Her work has been exhibited internationally for many years and pieces of her unique painted textiles and clothes are to be found in the collections of the V&A. Carole is making a small but passionately hot and colourful group of scarves and shirts for this special Easter exhibition.
Gary Wood’s expertise is ceramics: pots for food and drink, wall pieces and sculpture in stoneware and porcelain. He is making a collection of cool white pots for food for this show including serving dishes and bowls as well as sushi dishes.
The Easter Show at One Two Five showcases six contemporary jewellers alongside Carole and Gary’s work. Polly Horwich , Annie Beardsley, Adele Tipler, Kaz Robertson , Fionna Hesketh, Amy Keeper and Shelby Fitzpatrick. The work will be distinctive incorporating unusual materials and colour with jewellery made form plastic, perspex, aluminium , metal , resin and stone.
