THIS HOUSE brings thrilling political drama to Bath as National Theatre smash hit plays the Theatre Royal on its first UK tour

Direct from the West End, This House is bound for Bath as the National Theatre’s hit drama plays theatres across the UK for the first time. Appearing at the Theatre Royal from Monday 19th to Saturday 24th March, the large cast for James Graham’s witty political thriller includes James Gaddas (Bad Girls, Coronation Street), Martin Marquez (Modus, Hotel Babylon), David Hounslow (Doctors, Coronation Street), Miles Richardson (Dancing on the Edge, Titanic, Sick Note) and Theatre Royal regular William Chubb (Racing Demon, You Never Can Tell).

Director Jeremy Herrin received an Olivier Award nomination for This House, which strips politics down to the practical realities of those behind-the-scenes; the whips who roll up their sleeves and on occasion bend the rules to shepherd and coerce a diverse chorus of MPs within the Mother of all Parliaments. One of the National Theatre’s biggest hits of recent years, this critically acclaimed and extraordinarily prescient play, set in the engine rooms of Westminster during the mid-1970s minority government, takes on a new relevance almost daily in today’s political climate. The production also features music from the era played live on stage.
