About

This year's Victor Suchar Christmas Lecture will take the form of a "conversation" with BBC journalist Justin Webb.

Webb's current role as one of the resident anchors on BBC Radio 4's Today programme places him right at the heart of Britain's contemporary political landscape and BRLSI is delighted that he will be joining us to discuss how he sees the evolving state of Britain and the world.

Justin's Webb's 40-year career on radio and TV has encompassed front-line work as varied as newsreader, roving foreign reporter, presenter of The World Tonight, and resident BBC correspondent in both Brussels and in Washington DC. He recently published a critically acclaimed memoir, The Gift of a Radio, and is a key contributor to the BBC's Americast, a US politics podcast that delves into the cultural and social issues that define America today.
