About
The Somerset Russets Village Band brings together musicians from across the county, using strings, woodwinds, and squeezeboxes to delve into the rich musical traditions of Britain and beyond. During the Christmas season, the Russets return to their roots, celebrating the church and village bands of 18th and 19th-century England, as nostalgically depicted in the works of Thomas Hardy.
The Bath Folk Singers, a community choir dedicated to English folk songs, captivate audiences with their harmonies and heartfelt performances. With songs that tell stories of epic journeys, rural pastimes, and loves lost and found, they have performed widely across Bath and its surrounding areas, earning acclaim for their diverse and entertaining programmes. The choir is led by conductor Matt Norman.
This free concert will include a collection, with proceeds shared between a local charity and BRLSI.
To assist with planning, attendees are kindly asked to RSVP on the BRLSI booking website.
