About

Ensuring many views in Bath look as they did 250 years ago is key to the unique experience of walking through our World Heritage City. How does the magic happen?

Over the last 25 years a special fund has invested nearly £500,000 on 200 separate projects to help burnish the little details that make such a difference – from renewing ironwork and lanterns, to stonework and historic street names. Find out how the World Heritage Enhancement Fund, supported by Bath Preservation Trust and Bath & North-East Somerset Council, continues to ensure the city's architecture looks more unified and coherent, and its history more clearly legible.
