Prior Park Landscape Garden

Beautiful and intimate 18th century landscape garden created by Bath entrepreneur Ralph Allen with advice from poet Alexander Pope and Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. Sweeping valley with magnificent views over the city of Bath. Walk across the famous Palladian Bridge, one of four in the world. Explore the woodland paths. Discover what wildlife lives in the beautiful haven. Or just relax and admire the view. A wonderful walk and an ideal picnic spot.

NT members free. Adults £5. Child £2.80. Family ticket (A2+C2) £12.80. Booking in advance for groups and guided walks. Groups over 15, £3.90 per person.

1 Nov - 31 Jan, 11am - dusk, Sat and Sun.

Last admissions 1 hour before closing.

Road Directions

Disabled parking only (please call to book spaces). Start out on Dorchester Street, Bath A3039. Turn left onto Broad Quay A367. At Churchill Bridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto Rossiter Road A36 (sign posted Warminster) A36. Keep right onto Prior Park Road A3062 (sign posted Combe Down) A3062.
No brown signs.

Public Transport Directions

First bus service 2 links Prior Park Garden with Bath City centre, on a 30 minute frequency on Monday to Sundays including Bank Holidays. City Sightseeing Skyline Tour every 30 minutes in summer, every hour in winter.
