Georgian Garden

About

The Georgian Garden behind 4 The Circus has been recreated to the original plan of circa 1760/1770 to show a typical layout of the period.

The position of the flower beds, paths and trellis were located by excavation in 1985-6 by Bath Archaelogical Trust.

Although the plants that grew in this garden are not recorded, species known to have been used in town gardens of the period have been planted.

The entrance to the Georgian Garden is in Gravel Walk between Royal Crescent and Queen Square. Admission is free and the Garden is open seven days a week from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
