About

Advances in technology have improved our standard of living, but what about our quality of life? Some changes have been so gradual that we may not even be aware of them.

Stuart Burroughs is the director of the Museum of Bath at Work. This talk is a combined event with the museum, in conjunction with its new exhibition "Costing the Earth," which looks at the different types of subtle changes that have shaped our lives.

By looking back over the last couple of centuries, he will review what we have gained; what we have lost; and what grounds we have for optimism.

For more information about the Museum of Bath at Work please see the museum's website.
