About
Uncover the story of the talented artists who illustrated Ladybird books during their heyday, and see hundreds of Ladybird books on display.
This beautiful and colourful exhibition will showcase an unparalleled collection of Ladybird books, original artworks and artefacts, and show how the Ladybird illustrators played an enormous role in the extraordinary success of the company.
The Ladybird story will be recounted over its 'golden years', 1940 to 1975. Visually rich and varied, the exhibition will evoke memories of childhood for many. Hundreds of books will be available for visitors to browse through and share, and there will be a 1970s-style reading corner.
The exhibition is curated by Ladybird expert and enthusiast Helen Day, who has spent more than 20 years collecting and researching Ladybird books.
