2025 is an exciting year for the hotel as the multi-million-pound refurbishment continues to transform the building. This include a full revamp to all 98 bedrooms and suites, a reconfiguration of the hotel’s lobby, the unveiling of a brand-new restaurant, as well as the addition of a dedicated spa and snug.

Full of unique history combined with Regency opulence, modern amenities and a boutique charm, the hotel offers four-star luxury in one of the best city locations. The hotel was first opened by Emily Francis, a leading entrepreneurial lady of her time in 1884. Now the 18th century building is spread over seven townhouses on Bath’s Queen’s Square, one of the prettiest garden squares in the city.

Following a day of sight-seeing and exploration, unwind in one of the plush individually designed bedrooms. Equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay, some of the bedrooms also offer views over the city.

The hotel's on-site restaurant, Emberwood, is a British brasserie inspired by the warmth of the open hearth, bringing together seasonal ingredients, local provenance, and a passion for honest cooking. The restaurant showcases a memorable dining experience, with a dramatic open kitchen and charcoal-fired hearth providing a captivating focal point for guests. It is a perfect spot to meet, dine, and sip on expertly made cocktails.

As a dog friendly hotel, guests can bring up to two dogs to stay with them in the special dog-friendly rooms.
