A special occasion calls for fantastic photos to remember it by. For camera-friendly views, head on the Bath Skyline Walk, famed for its wildflowers and stunning vistas of the city. On the way, you’ll pass Prior Park Landscape Garden designed by Capability Brown, home to one of just four Palladian Bridges in the world, and one of the most photographed spots in Bath.

Bath Cats and Dogs Home

As animals are also a much-loved part of the city, Visit Bath are pleased to support Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

Bath Cats and Dogs Home rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes unwanted and neglected animals from Bath and the surrounding areas, taking in over 1,200 unwanted animals each year and working hard to find new homes for dogs, cats and small animals in need.

As a local branch of the RSPCA, but an independent self-funded charity, Bath Cats and Dogs Home works with local inspectors to rescue animals that have been subject to cruelty and neglect, as well as taking in strays from local dog wardens, and handovers from members of the public who are no longer able to care for their pets. 

The on-site veterinary team work to treat all injured or sick animals that come in to their care, often having to perform life-saving operations. Their behaviour team and animal carers work to rehabilitate all animals, and once they are ready for rehoming their dedicated re-homers match each animal with the perfect adopter. 

Bath Cats and Dogs Home are committed to finding a forever home for every animal they take in.
