Wedding inspiration day at Bowood

With many questions likely to have been popped over the festive season and proposals joyously accepted, Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort (near Calne, Wiltshire. www.bowood.org) has set aside the date of Sunday 19th February for its next ‘Wedding Inspiration Day’.

Designed to inspire those just embarking on the wedding planning process, the bridal open day will play out against an unbeatable backdrop for wedding celebrations as the resort is located in the western corner of Capability Brown’s 2,000 acre Grade I Listed Great Park at Bowood (home to the Lansdowne family since 1754). Visitors will be greeted with a glass of bubbly and canapés, leading them into the swing of things!

Those attending the event - from 11am to 4pm with free admission - will gain a flavour of why marrying at Bowood is such a superb idea. The Kerry Suite showcase will place the spotlight on sample set-ups for civil wedding ceremonies and celebrations - from a cocktail reception to a sit down dinner-dance. Bowood’s team of wedding planners will be on hand to answer your questions with expert advice and suggestions as they reveal the best ways to steer around the potentially daunting task of wedding organisation. Menu suggestions from Bowood’s Executive Chef, Chris Lee will be highlighted too alongside displays, samplings and top tips from various like-minded suppliers alongside whom Bowood works closely and regularly.
