Who is Bath Tourism Plus?
Bath Tourism Plus (BTP) is the official destination marketing organisation for Bath and the surrounding area. BTP took over the management of tourism promotion from Bath & North East Somerset Council in October 2003. It takes full responsibility for co-ordinating the work of a busy Tourist Information Centre, the marketing of Bath and the surrounding area to leisure and business travellers, PR activity to attract the nation's top travel writers and overseas media, a conference and venues booking service, as well as the development of Bath's official tourism website www.visitbath.co.uk.

- BTP receives only 22% of public funding – the lowest compared to other UK destination marketing organisations.
- Runs one of the most popular websites with 1.8m customers
- Operates the busiest Tourist Information Centre in the UK - 535,000 visitors.
- Delivers good value marketing including annual marketing campaigns and PR activity (PR coverage is worth £1.7m per year).
- Works in partnership with a number of organisations including companies outside of Bath, such as First Great Western to run 2 for 1 promotions, and organisations within Bath such as the City Centre management Group and B&NES Council.
