Midsomer Norton
Following a history stretching back to the Iron Age, Midsomer Norton has, for centuries, been a traditional market town situated within a very attractive rural area between Bath and the Mendip Hills.
Midsomer Norton town centre is an enjoyable place to shop and spend some time. There are fine historic buildings, the River Somer runs through the centre of the town, and Hollies Garden offers a central green space for shoppers and others to meet, sit, and watch the world go by.
The town boasts a variety of different and interesting shops to provide for a pleasurable shopping experience. Many of them are independent specialists in their field offering good, old-fashioned service at very competitive prices and providing something a little different - individuality, choice and good bargains.
Midsomer Norton has a Farmers Market on the first Saturday of every month in the Methodist Church on the High Street and features stalls selling meats, fish, fruits and vegetables, cheeses, organic quiches and salads and herbs.
