Type: Boat

Experience a quieter side of Bath by exploring the beautiful Kennet and Avon canal travelling through the rural outskirts of the city.

Hire an electric self-drive day boat, Canadian canoe or bicycle from our base in the Canal Visitor Centre, just 5 miles outside of Bath city centre.

To explore the canal by water, hire a powered electric boat for a relaxing experience or if you are feeling more energetic then try a canoe. Either way you will be able to explore the stunning stretch of canal Between Bath and Bradford On Avon. Bring a picnic or stop at one of the many canal side pubs and tearooms along the way.

We have electric day boats suitable for parties of between 2 and 12 people and canoes for between 2 and 4.

If you would prefer to stay on dry land then hire bikes and cycle the canal towpath. Cycle a short distance to Bathampton or Avoncliff, a slightly longer journey to Bath or Bradford On Avon, or if you would like to make a day of it, then follow the cycle path all the way to Devizes where you can visit the famous Caen Hill flight of locks.

If you would like a more challenging cycle ride our base is at the start of The Colliers way (cycle route 24) which you can follow to Radstock and then on to Frome through some of the most spectacular countryside that the area has to offer.

We can accommodate the whole family with our range of adult mountain and hybrid bikes and children’s bikes, trailers, tag-a-longs and child seats. All of the bikes are provided with locks, pumps and puncture repair accessories.

We are proud to be the only bike hire company in Bath whose bikes are serviced and maintained by qualified cycle mechanics.

For those who already have their own bikes we offer cycle servicing and maintenance advice as well as a shop selling cycling accessories and canal souvenirs.

If you would like to visit the canal and the nearby famous Dundas Aqueduct then we offer the perfect location from which to do so with our large customer car park, historical canal display and neighbouring cafe/restaurant.
