The Bath Flower School

About

The Bath Flower School offers classes in creative floristry for all levels, from beginners up to professional.

A great place to spend a day or an afternoon immersing yourself in beautiful, locally grown flowers and learning the tips and tricks needed to make successful, professional looking arrangements with flowers.

Courses are for all levels, from beginners right up to professional and are taught by co-founders Verity and Saffy who are warm, welcoming, generous with their knowledge and between them have over 50 years floristry experience!

This is a creative flower school with the emphasis on the flowers being the stars of the show. The school believes that “everyone is creative.”

Among many offerings here are some of the classes that may be of interest to visitors to Bath.

Hen parties - Kick off your hen party celebrations with a flower crown workshop. With glasses of fizz to fuel your creative juices, spend a couple of hours immersed in the world of beautiful flowers and learn how to make a show stopping flower crown. Release your inner diva and create a headpiece to wear throughout the day or through to your night-time festivities.

Hand Tied Bouquet Workshops - Spend half a day at The Bath Flower School and learn the techniques of a spiral hand-tied bunch of flowers. You will have free reign to choose whatever flowers you desire from the abundant flower stand. After you have been taught how to put them together into a beautiful bouquet you will then get to choose from an assortment of ribbons and tissues to gift wrap your flowers to take home and enjoy. This course also includes home-made cake and refreshments.

Christmas Wreath Workshops - Start the festive season with one of our Christmas Wreath workshop. With the hum of Christmas songs, warmed mulled wine and delicious mince pies, soak up the festive atmosphere this winter on one of our Christmas wreath workshops. Using the finest seasonal foliage, foraged flora and fauna, think hedgerow and texture. We will guide you step by step through the process, then it’s over to you to make your own unique wreath as wild and natural as you dare.

Other than the mentioned workshops, there is a multitude of other classes - all of which can be found on our website. Everyone is welcome to The Bath Flower School - the minimum requirement is that you have an interest in flowers, making things with your hands and like having fun.
