Disabled Parking
Bath and North East Somerset Council operate a blue badge scheme for disabled car users. They also recognise disabled permits issued in other countries.
Disabled Parking in Car Parks
Designated easy access parking bays are available for blue badge holders in most city centre car parks. Charges apply in all Bath and North East Somerset Council car parks with the exception of the Sports Centre car park. Some private car parks charge for disabled users. Please check car park signage for further information.
Disabled On-Street Parking
There are designated disabled parking bays in the city centre marked with a D on the map. These have white bay markings on-street and the words 'DISABLED'. You can also park in permit and pay and display on-street parking spaces without limit. When parking on-street you need to display your blue badge at all times.
Parking on yellow lines is permitted for a maximum of 3 hours except where there is a ban on loading and unloading. Both the blue badge and time clock must be clearly and correctly displayed. Please note that blue badge holders are not necessarily exempt from the tow away scheme if the parked vehicle is creating a hazard.
