Visitor Information Centre

The Bath Visitor Information Centre is located next to Bath Abbey on York Street and is one of the busiest centres in the country, welcoming over 535,000 visitors per annum.

Our friendly team of knowledgeable staff can provide information and advice on a wide range of subjects to help you make the most of your visit to Bath and the surrounding area.

Opening Hours

Monday - Saturday: 9.30 - 17.30 all year round
Sundays: 10.00 – 16.00 all year round

The Centre will be open Bank Holidays except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Accommodation Bookings

We deal direct with providers to bring you the widest range of accommodation from 5 star hotels to independent guest houses and B&B's; and from luxury self catered properties and serviced apartments to campus accommodation. With over 250 providers on our books to choose from, you can trust us to find something just right for you.

All our accommodation is officially star rated, or is awaiting grading, by either the AA or Quality in Tourism (on behalf of the National Tourist Board, VisitBritain) so you can rest assured of the quality you will find.

We also run a personal booking service allowing you to explain your precise requirements to our staff who will help find you the perfect place to stay and make a reservation on your behalf.  There is no charge to you for this service. Simply call 0844 847 5256 during office hours. Please note we cannot take telephone bookings after 5pm for arrival the same day.

After you arrive in Bath
If you arrive in Bath without any accommodation booked, simply pop into the Visitor Information Centre located next to the Abbey on York Street and our staff will help find you the best accommodation to meet your requirements. We make no charge for our booking services. Please note that as Bath can be very busy at peak times such as weekends it pays to ring ahead or to book online before you travel if you have specific requirements.

If you arrive in Bath either before the Information Centre opens, or after we close, there is an internet cafe on Manvers Street - the road straight ahead of you as you exit from Bath Spa railway station - or many of Bath's cafes and shopping centres are Wi Fi enabled, so just log on to www.visitbath.co.uk
