Soak up the sights, smells and sounds as you wander through the streets of Bath this Christmas - the aroma of mulled wine, freshly baked mince pies, complete with a generous sprinkling of hearty Christmas carols will get even the biggest of humbugs into the Christmas spirit! The city has a charm of its own and positively sparkles during the festive season, especially when the Christmas lights are twinkling.
It’s easy to see why Bath is a number one destination with Christmas shoppers. Set against a distinctive Georgian backdrop, Bath offers an unusual mix of quality independent shops, designer boutiques and high street brands all within walking distance of each other.
Bath’s annual Christmas Market takes place from 24 November to 11 December and features over 170 twinkling wooden chalets in the shadow of Bath Abbey. This very British festive market offers handmade artisan wares and beautiful gifts, from Christmas decorations and delicious foodie morsels to toys and festive tipples. You’ll find glass gifts and decorations, ceramics and pottery, plus lots of local produce, ales and premium liqueurs. We're proud to say that over 87% of the traders are from Bath and the South West.
At the very heart of the market itself will be the Lodge, a cosy indoor venue reminiscent of a rustic snow lodge, located on Stall Street.
