About

Join for a magical illuminated trail at Cheddar Gorge & Caves this Easter

Discover a charming and magical illuminated trail within Gough's Cave this Easter, where fairies glisten, flowers grow and eggs glow, running from 29th March – 14 April during the Easter school holidays. On your travels, you will discover glowing eggs, sparkling flowers and illuminated guardian fairies who need your help!

A mischievous eagle has taken the fairies' special glowing Easter eggs and hidden them deep within Gough's Cave. Can you help find the missing eggs? On your travels, you'll see illuminated guardian fairies who hold clues to figuring out what's so special about the eggs and why they need them back. Will you find the missing eggs and discover why they are so important to the fairies? If you 'crack' this special task, there's a treat waiting for you.

If you're lucky you might even spot the Giant Golden Egg in the Diamond Chamber – look out for the mischievous eagle who is guarding it in the cave!

After you've finished the trail, join in more Easter arts and craft activities.

The trail runs daily from 10am-4pm. Admission is included in the price of a day ticket, so you can enjoy six exciting attractions. Explore Gough's Cave, our spectacular stalactite show cave where Cheddar Man, Britain's oldest, most-complete human skeleton was discovered. You can see a replica inside the cave and learn about the amazing DNA discovery. Explore Cox's Cave, our oldest show cave discovered in 1837. Find out more about the local history, wildlife and plants in our Beyond the View cinema experience. Learn how our ancestors lived and survived at the Museum of Pre-History and venture up the 274 steps of Jacob's Ladder to The Lookout Tower and the Cliff-Top Walk where you will enjoy stunning views of the gorge and Mendip Hills - a landscape that has been millions of years in the making!

Dogs are welcome in all of the Cheddar Gorge attractions too!
