Sustainable travellers will love our shared e-scooter and e-bike scheme, operated by Dott. It’s a carbon-neutral form of transport that keeps our historic city free from congestion and pollution. It’s also a lot of fun, quick and easy to use. 

Look out for Dott's mint green e-scooters and e-bikes on parking stands. For example, you can pick one up at Bath Spa railway station, one of the many parking zones in the city, all clearly marked on Dott's app. 

Riders must have a provisional or full driving licence, and be at least 18 years of age to hire an e-scooter. Riders are always encouraged to wear helmets when using e-scooters and e-bikes. 

How to use Dott e-sccoters: 

• Riders must have a provisional or full driving licence, and be at least 18 years of age. 
• Download the Dott app onto your iPhone or Android device. 
• Find an available Dott e-scooter and unlock it by scanning the QR code, then push off to release the kickstand and get up to speed. Use the acceleration lever to control your speed, and remember to use the indicators when turning. 
• Once finished, park the e-scooter in a designated parking area. These are all easy to find on Dott's app. Then, click 'end ride' in the app. 

How to use Dott e-bikes: 

• Download the Dott app onto your iPhone or Android device. 
• Find an available Dott e-bike and unlock it by scanning the QR code. 
• The cable locks will unlock automatically. Pull the lock out of the cable hole on the right side of the rear wheel and place it in the holder on top of the rear wheel.
• Flick the kickstand back before sitting on the bike, then start pedalling - you'll feel the boost as you go. 
• Once finished, park the e-bike in a designated parking area. These are all easy to find on Dott's app.  
• Flick the kickstand down, and reinsert the cable lock into the cable hole if your bike has one. Click 'end ride' in the app.
