The streets of Bath are packed with a fabulous variety of local independents and well-known brands, which give the city its reputation as an excellent shopping destination. Adjacent to Bath Abbey is Bath Aqua Glass, offering beautiful hand-blown glassware, and on nearby Terrace Walk, you'll find Independent Spirit of Bath, the city's premier retailer of exquisite whiskies, gins, craft beer and more. They also run regular tasting experiences of the finest spirits from across the world.

Browse the windows in The Corridor, a Parisian-style arcade and packed with a wide variety of clothing shops, with the Guildhall Market waiting for you on the other side. The latter is the oldest of its kind in Bath, named after the spectacular 18th-century building in which it is housed.

Wander along Union Passage to find family-run The Silver Shop, then pay a visit to award-winning jeweller Nicholas Wylde and health shop Bath Natural Remedies in Northumberland Place. On nearby Broad Street, you’ll find a range of boutique fashion and interior design shops, as well as a design-led independent department store.

A short walk away is the iconic Pulteney Bridge, inspired by Florence's Ponte Vecchio. The bridge is lined by a collection of independent shops, including jewellers Icarus, as well as the official Bath Rugby shop, among many others.
