Fashion Museum

About

Housed in the magnificent Assembly Rooms, the Fashion Museum Bath holds a world-class collection of contemporary and historic dress, from Georgian gowns to cutting-edge fashion from leading designers.

The A History of Fashion in 100 Objects display presents 100 key objects from the Museum's collection, showcasing a history of fashion from the 1600s to the present day.

The Shoephoria! exhibition features 350 pairs of boots and shoes, many drawn from the Fashion Museum’s collection, alongside ‘star’ shoes borrowed for the exhibition. Shoephoria! illustrates the evolution of shoe style over the last 300 years.

The Fashion Museum’s collection is kept up to the minute with its annual Dress of the Year selection. For 2020 seven outfits plus one film were chosen to represent a year with many stories to tell.

The Fashion Museum shop sells a carefully chosen selection of gifts, fashion accessories, jewellery and stationery.

If you have visited the Fashion Museum before, you may notice some procedures are slightly different to make your time a safe and enjoyable one. Online booking is essential.
