About
The Manor House Inn is a truly beautiful 17th century pub with cosy nooks and plenty of outside space. "The beams are hop-strewn, the bar matt-black tongue and groove and its original exposed stone walls, flagstone floors and gothic windows are now complemented by top-notch pub grub and nine pretty bedrooms, some with grandstand views of Nicholls’s thoroughbreds heading to the gallops every morning.” — Susan D'Arcy, writing in The Times, 2025.
Seasonal West Country Dining
The menu celebrates the best local, seasonal produce, sourced in the West Country, whether you fancy a small plate, a sharing dish or a pub banger. That’s why you can find dishes such as game terrine sitting alongside a whole market fish, or a venison + ale pie. Guests can enjoy hand-stretched sourdough ‘nole pizza’ too, to eat in or takeaway, any day of the week.
Boutique En-Suite Bedrooms
The nine en-suite rooms are elegantly furnished and cosy. Guests are welcomed with complimentary tea, coffee and freshly baked goods from the kitchen, and waved off with a plentiful breakfast the following morning. Each room has been sensitively restored to retain the building’s character and original features.
There are 4 rooms on the first floor, above the pub, including 2 premium doubles with roll-top tubs, and 5 ground-floor courtyard rooms.
A Perfect Base for Exploring Somerset
Set in the thick of the West Country, and just a short drive from Bruton, there’s plenty of places to eat, drink and explore on the doorstep.
