Free days out for families

Bath's World Heritage Centre and Botanical Gardens are both free to visit, or you can see a full list of free activities here.

If you're planning a more relaxed time in the city, spend sunny days in the city’s beautiful parks or explore Bath's many outdoor attractions.

Day trips from Bath

You can spend a whole day adventuring at Wookey Hole, where your ticket includes entrance to Wookey Hole Caves, museums, circus shows, Dinosaur Grove, and a 4D Cinema. There's even a hotel or campsite you can stay on next to all of the attractions, with tickets included in the price of your room!

Enjoy woodland activities and explore the outdoor trails at Westonbirt Arboretum, meet fascinating animals at the Somerset Rural Life Museum, or plan a day of outdoor adventure at Dyrham Park, from barefoot trails to mud kitchens!

Kids will love the sand and water play area, giant slip 'n' slide, huge paddling pools and beach zone at Avon Valley Adventure Park this summer, or get involved with live demonstrations and interactive exhibitions on the Stone Age at Cheddar Gorge & Caves.
