Shindig Festival 2027 at Charlton Park Estate

Shindig Festival returns for its eleventh year to Charlton Park Estate near Malmesbury from 27–30 May 2027 for four days of live music, DJs, art, family entertainment and late-night dancing.

Dubbed “a pint-sized version of Glastonbury,” Shindig is an independent, approximately 10,000-capacity music and arts festival known for its eclectic programme of funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, house, breaks, drum & bass, reggae, electronic and global music. Previous line-ups have included internationally recognised live artists and DJs alongside emerging acts and festival favourites.

Held across the parkland, woodland and arboretum of the 300-acre Charlton Park Estate, Shindig combines a full camping festival experience with immersive spaces, art installations, food and drink, workshops, wellness activities and dedicated children's entertainment.

With no main stages, the festival layout consists of stretch marquees, giant tipis and hidden venues among the arboretum and secret playgrounds.

For those seeking relaxation, the healing field provides yoga, saunas and massages, while award-winning street food vendors offer a variety of culinary delights. Boutique camping includes luxury accommodation, a private bar and a pamper parlour.

Shindig's multi-generational audience includes families, lifelong festival-goers, music lovers and people who grew up clubbing but still want proper late-night music alongside a relaxed daytime experience.

Founded in 2014, Shindig has developed a loyal following while remaining intentionally smaller than the UK's major festivals. Its combination of an intimate 10,000-person capacity, distinctive arboretum setting, family-friendly daytime programming and serious live and electronic music makes it a particularly popular choice for visitors from Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire and across the South West.

A Festival for All Ages

Shindig is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, offering a dedicated Kid’s Area packed with circus skills, climbing walls, space hoppers, sandpits, a graffiti wall and DJ & breakdance workshops.

The Craft Area will feature felt making, spoon whittling, woodworking and jewellery workshops for all ages.

Tickets

Adult weekend tickets start from £175 + booking fee.

Young Adult tickets for those aged 18 - 25 start from £150 + booking fee, while Teen tickets for those aged 13 - 17 cost £90 + booking fee. Children aged 0 - 12 attend free.

Additional camping and accommodation options are available separately.

Accessibility

Shindig Festival is held on parkland and the majority of the ground is very even and firm. Access can be challenging at times, particularly in bad weather conditions. If it rains, it may get muddy and access around the site may become very difficult.

One Personal Assistant ticket is available for those who need it at no additional cost.

Anyone requiring accessibility parking must have purchased or been allocated a standard Car or Live-in vehicle pass in advance. 

An accessible toilet will be provided on the end of every row of toilets. 

The main bar has a lowered area for ordering drinks and stewards are always around if assistance is required. The festival does not have viewing platforms. If you need to be at the front of the stage please speak to the nearest steward.
