​​Show of Hands is a new independent music and arts festival on the second May Bank Holiday weekend in 2026.

It is all about jazz, performance, families, hot air ballooning, and the power of individual choice.

Alongside the music, expect a vibrant mix of workshops, theatre, storytelling and hands-on experiences for all ages, from morning yoga to tap dance sessions, cabaret to carnival.

Everyone who attends, including the audience, artists, and crew, gets a vote on how the festival’s future takes shape. The more they put in, the more their voice carries weight.

What is Show of Hands Festival

Show of Hands is a brand new, independent music and arts festival taking place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, on a 300-acre organic farm in the heart of Somerset.

What to expect at Show of Hands Festival 2026

This family-friendly festival brings together a music lineup featuring jazz, soul, global grooves, electronica and forward-thinking club sounds, alongside hands-on creative and wellness activities.

Dates: Friday 22 May - Sunday 24 May 2026
Times: Campsites open at 10am on Friday 22 May and close at 3pm on Monday 25 May 2026. Set times will be released nearer to the time.
Location: Gilcombe Farm, Bruton, Somerset, BA10 0QE.  

Tickets and booking information

Tickets are now on sale via the Show of Hands website. All weekend tickets include camping. Day tickets are also available, but these do not include camping.

Once booked, you will receive a QR code in an email which you can show on arrival at the festival. Discounted Student Weekend tickets and a free ticket for carers are also available.

How do I get to the festival?

The nearest train station to Gilcombe Farm is Bruton Station. You can also take the 667 bus from Street or Castle Cary to Bruton. 

Is there car parking at the festival site?

There is plenty of parking onsite. You’ll need a parking pass for each vehicle, which you can buy on the festival website.

Will there be food options for different dietary needs?

Food traders will cater for gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian customers. You can also bring your own food and drink into the campsite.

Are children welcome?

Yes! There are tons of family-friendly activities across the weekend, including workshops, and the chance to get up close to hot air balloons. Kids' tickets are for 3-12 year olds, Teen tickets are for 13-17 year olds. Babes in arms go free.
