Join Wells Cathedral for a nature-friendly summer exploring water, plants and animals. Family trails, themed crafts and fun activities for children and young people of all ages!

FREE with adult entry.  No need to book – simply drop in on the day! 

(There is no charge for children. Standard adult admission tickets include re-entry for 12 months from date of purchase, so you can enjoy access to a number of seasonal events, including exhibitions and Family Holiday Activities beyond your initial visit.) 

 

Beautiful butterflies

Tuesday 29th July and Wednesday 6th August

Help with the Big Butterfly Count and get creative with butterfly art and crafts.

 

Build a bird feeder

Wednesday 30th July and Wednesday 13th August

Discover birds around the Cathedral, make a willow bird feeder and try bird themed art

 

Watery Wells with Somerset Rivers Authority

Tuesday 19th August

Get inspired by beavers, build your own dam and enjoy crafts that will help you prepare for any weather. 

 

Flowers and Foliage

Tuesday 5th , Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 20th August

Explore and draw around the Cathedral and create nature inspired designs in clay.

 

Education Room and Camery Garden

FREE with adult entry. No need to book – simply drop in on the day!

Sessions take place from 10:30am – 3:30pm. Ask at the Welcome Desk for directions.

Please note that children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and only assistance dogs are allowed at these activities.
