Season (23 May 2026 - 31 May 2026)

About

This May half term, Wookey Hole invites families to enjoy adventure, imagination and discovery all in one incredible location. Nestled beneath the Mendip Hills, it is the perfect place for a fun-filled day out or a memorable family staycation, with attractions for all ages, everything included in the ticket price, and great-value hotel packages for a stress-free break.

Visitors can step beneath the Mendip Hills and experience Wookey Hole like never before. The attraction’s new immersive cave projections bring legend, nature and exploration together through light, atmosphere and storytelling, enhancing the natural beauty of the caves without overpowering it. Guests journey through three extraordinary chambers, each transformed by subtle, cinematic projections that bring Wookey Hole’s folklore and history to life before their eyes.

This atmospheric enhancement adds depth, wonder and emotion to every visit, making the caves even more magical for both children and adults.

Above ground, the adventure continues with a full day of family attractions included in every ticket. Visitors can enjoy live circus shows, a 4D cinema experience, Dinosaur Valley, adventure golf, traditional paper-making demonstrations, giant soft play, the Zap Zone and much more. Whether the sun is shining or the rain appears, there is always something exciting for families to explore together.

Wookey Hole offers one of the best May half term experiences in Somerset. From magical moments beneath the ground to laughter and thrills above it, it is a place where families can reconnect and create lasting memories this half term.
