About

New Knitting Extravaganza Heading to Wells Cathedral to Commemorate VE Day

Following on from the astounding success of The Longest Yarn, an exhibition of knitted scenes from the D-Day, knitters from across the UK and beyond have created another stunning set of scenes "The Longest Yarn 2 – Britain at War", which depicts scenes of Britain during wartime.

The first opportunity to see the exhibition in England will be at Wells Cathedral from 29 April 2025 until the 10 May 2025, meaning visitors will be able to see the stunning scenes on VE Day on 8th May.

The Longest Yarn 2 exhibition will be free with a Cathedral entry ticket, which also allows free return visits for ticket holders for 12 months from the date of purchase.
