2. Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein
For a different kind of thrill, try Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein’s ‘Monster Party’ package, suitable for Franken-fans of all ages.
Your group will enjoy entry to the attraction’s immersive museum experience, sessions in both of the hair-raising escape rooms, and exclusive use of ‘Bloody Mary’s Bar’ for one hour, all chaperoned by your very own costumed character host. There’s also the option to add gothic horror face painting and party food bites.
This May, the House of Frankenstein is also hosting two ‘Big Lock In’ games nights for one weekend only. Get a team together and challenge yourselves to solving both escape rooms, as well as a series of murder mystery puzzles. 3. Bath Karaoke at Robun
Bring your party to one of the city’s other newest venues, Bath Karaoke, this time based above Japanese restaurant Robun on the opposite side of the city centre. Here, you can sing your heart out to all your favourite tunes, with thousands of iconic tracks from past to present at your fingertips!
Give your vocal cords a rest between numbers with delicious food and drink freshly prepared in the restaurant downstairs. Take your pick from a selection of party packages, including everything from Tokyo tapas to premium dishes, as well as cocktails that pack a punch. 4. The Stable

5. The Holburne Museum
How about hosting your own party in Lady Danbury’s house? The Holburne Museum, which portrays the exterior of the iconic character’s abode in the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, can be hired for private events. Take over the building’s scenic Garden Café and terrace overlooking the beautiful Sydney Gardens for a celebration you’ll never forget!
As well as offering a built-in sound system and talented in-house catering team, who can freshly prepare anything from delectable canapes and buffets to summer barbecue bites, the venue can also arrange for local lighting designers to create any atmosphere you please, making your party that little bit more spectacular.

6. The Ivy Bath Brasserie & Garden
Set within a grand Georgian building on the fashionable Milsom Street to the north of the city centre, this beautifully decorated brasserie certainly serves up the ‘wow’ factor as a celebration venue! Tables are available for small groups in the restaurant and on the terrace, or you can book the stunning Baldwin Room on the first floor, a private dining space seating up to 40 people.
The Ivy’s all-encompassing contemporary British menu can please any crowd, with dishes ranging from classic British cooked breakfasts to Sunday roasts, steaks, fish and chips, and afternoon teas, among many others. Keep an eye out for special set menus throughout the year too.

7. Giggling Squid
Lover of Thai cuisine? Celebrate your special occasion with a private dining experience at Giggling Squid and savour the bold flavours of Southeast Asia. Based in a light and airy space decorated with pretty florals, the restaurant is another ideal spot for an informal party in the heart of Bath city centre.
You’ll have the option of two or three courses of your choosing, with starters including the best-selling salt and pepper squid, a tantalising selection of mains consisting of hearty curries and noodle dishes, and desserts including an ice-cream version of a Thai Pina Colada.

8. The Sepoy Club

If so, head to the elegant surroundings of The Sepoy Club, where you’ll find a menu packed with your favourite Indian dishes, from onion bhajis to warming curries and biryanis, all prepared by expert chefs using the freshest ingredients. Plus, with a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes available, the restaurant is a great option for groups with a range of dietary requirements.
As well as table bookings for small groups, all four areas of The Sepoy Club can be hired individually, with private hire of the full restaurant also available for a maximum capacity of 200 people. 9. Avon Valley Railway
A few miles north of Bath in the town of Bitton is one of the area’s quirkiest party venues, Avon Valley Railway, which is ideal for kids’ birthdays.
Hop aboard your own private 1950s train carriage hitched up to one of the railway’s heritage steam locomotives, then enjoy a 50-minute round trip through the beautiful valley, first heading north to Oldland Common, then south to Avon Riverside, before heading back to Bitton. You’ll even have a chance to watch the engine run around the train!

10. Mendip Activity Centre
Kids will also love Mendip Activity Centre, based an hour’s drive west of Bath. The venue’s extensive range of birthday group activities includes everything from abseiling, archery, and axe-throwing, to skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and many more.
The centre also offers a party food package in its Alpine Lounge, which will satisfy even the fussiest of eaters, with each child enjoying half a margherita pizza, a portion of skin-on fries, and unlimited squash.
