Abbey Ales Limited

About

When Abbey Ales was founded in 1997, it was the first brewery to operate in the historic city of Bath for over fifty years.

Abbey Ales produce a range of signature and guest ales, in smaller batches, using only the finest ingredients. Bellringer, a clean tasting, golden bitter, is the only cask beer continuously produced at the Abbey Brewery. Successfully launched at the Bath CAMRA beer festival in October 1997, Bellringer is a top selling cask bitter in Bath and is as popular with the many visitors to the Georgian city as it is with local Bathonians.

Bellringer has provided inspiration for many of Bath’s chefs. Initially the Bellringer Banger proved very popular and was soon followed by the Bath Bellringer Pie, which is a best seller in Bath’s smallest pub the Coeur De Lion.

Other popular craft beers from Abbey Ales include the strong and hoppy bitter, Bellringer Maximus and an amber dry bitter, Bath Water.
