From 3 - 19 April, nine magical glowing eggs will appear throughout the caves and Dinosaur Valley at Wookey Hole Caves - mysteriously bright, impossibly warm, and humming with enchantment.

Each egg carries a hidden letter. Those who find all nine will uncover the answer to the ancient riddle surrounding the Triceratops and her glowing treasure.

Deep beneath the Mendip Hills, in the winding caverns of Wookey Hole, something extraordinary has begun to stir…

For centuries, rumours have whispered of a secret hidden deep within the caves — a secret guarded by the legendary Witch of Wookey. Visitors have long spoken of strange glows flickering between the rocks, soft hums echoing through the chambers, and shimmering lights drifting through Dinosaur Valley at dusk.

This spring, the truth finally emerges.

A Dinosaur’s Secret… Protected by Magic

Long ago, before humans ever set foot in the caves, an ancient and gentle Triceratops lived in the valley. She was said to be the last of her kind — a mystical dinosaur believed to share a powerful bond with the Witch of Wookey.

According to legend, the Triceratops laid a clutch of extraordinary eggs, each infused with a spark of prehistoric magic. Sensing that the world above was changing, she entrusted her precious eggs to the Witch, who cast a powerful protective spell over them.

That spell lingers to this day… and now, the eggs have begun to glow.
