Enjoy a Halloween adrenaline rush
Dare to venture out After Dark at Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein, where you'll navigate five floors of torment on a twisted journey through waking terror, encountering hellish characters along the way. With ten chambers to conquer in total darkness, you'll need to summon up all of your courage as you find your way through dream-state labyrinths full of foreboding mazes, confined crawl spaces, and much more. Head a few miles west of the city centre for a bloody good night at the UK's number one scream park, FEAR, but be warned that the amusements are not for the faint-hearted! Face your fears in five terrifying themed mazes, where you'll encounter everything from depraved zombies to mutant pumpkins, and dial up the horror level even further by joining optional experiences including a live exorcism. You'll also find thrilling funfair ridesand roaming entertainers on site to keep your pulse racing all night long.
Back in the city centre, discover Bath's dark side with Bath Ghost Tours, where you'll hear tales of murder, mayhem, duels, tortures and even romantic elopements. Along the way, you'll join in with a genuine paranormal experiment, plus many more audience participation opportunities.
Pick your perfect pumpkin
Find the all-important pumpkins for carving at one of the many patches in and around Bath. At Avon Valley, grab a wheelbarrow and choose from a huge selection of handsome gourds by day or by night, when the patch is transformed into a mini-festival, with lights, street food stalls, firepits, entertainment, and a pop-up bar.
On the opposite side of the city at Hartley Farm, you'll find a paddock packed full of more fine specimens, with a chance to get stuck in carving and painting your chosen gourd for free with every purchase. Or, head south of Bath to Farrington's Farm, where there's a chance to pick from over 50 different varieties of pumpkin!

Why not celebrate spooky season with an action-packed family day out?
One of your first ports of call has to be the self-described 'home of Halloween,' Wookey Hole. Your ticket will include access to a fang-tastic range of activities across the site, from exploring the famous caves and meeting the legendary Wookey witch, to following a vampire trail and enjoying spooky shows in the 4D cinema and circus. As if that wasn't enough, there's also a chance to enjoy daily fancy dress competitions, Monster Golf, a glowing pumpkin patch, and much more!
At nearby Cheddar Gorge & Caves, discover a haunting lineup of themed activities, including a 'Ghoulish Goat' trail through the caves, gruesome games, and chilling crafts, among many others.
Put an American twist on your Halloween with a week of themed activities at the American Museum & Gardens, whether it's following an interactive pumpkin trail through the gardens, striking your scariest pose in the 'scarecrow friends' photo station, or taking part in the attraction's huge trick or treat event on 31 October itself.
