About

As Longleat’s grounds and gardens become a blanket of orange, red and brown, the attraction is celebrating half term with The Great British Autumn event from 26 October to 3 November.

This family-friendly indoor event offers lots of fun, seasonal festivities to enjoy together, whatever the weather. With a packed daily programme including live performances, a haybale slide, pumpkins, scarecrow trail, animal encounters, crafts and more!

Magical Moments

Settle down as Longleat immerses you in a storytelling world with captivating live performances throughout the day. Featuring:

• A live performance from Louby Lou’s Interactive Storytelling, with the Woodland Wisps presenting their exclusive show written for Longleat this autumn

• Lovable walkabout characters, Mr and Mrs Nutkin, the red squirrels. Join them for a selfie and some silliness as they explore The Longhouse

• A spectacular flying birds of prey display, with owls fluttering right over your head.

Hay, Let's Go!

Brand new for 2024, Longleat is building a giant hay bale slide for lots of indoor fun. Your little squirrels won’t be able to resist it! Next, take a spin on our ride-on mini tractors, before challenging friends and family to a game of indoor skittles.

Get Crafty

Enjoy lots of hands-on activities, suitable for all ages, including pumpkin carving or decorating*, make your own scarecrow bookmark, willow weaving and more!

*Pumpkins are charged at an additional £2 each. All other activities are included free within the event.

Trail Time

Don’t be spooked by Longleat's autumn trail as you join the hunt to find the scarecrows dotted around the park. Can you solve their riddles to claim a sweet treat?

Farmyard friends

As you adventure across the park, stop by Animal Adventure for your chance to meet some furry, fluffy and feathered friends for much loved animal encounters. Our knowledgeable keeper team will be bringing the farm to you, with up-close animal meet and greet opportunities including donkeys, ferrets, goats, chickens and more.

A tiger-iffic day out

Longleat's four inquisitive Amur tiger cubs are exploring the great outdoors and can be now seen by guests in their paddock as you drive through Tiger Territory. These cheeky cubs will be bounding amongst the orange and red autumn leaves, so keep an eye out for their unmissable cuteness!
