About

The Crown, Tolldown, is a 16th-century traditional pub and inn set amidst acres of stunning Gloucestershire countryside, located a stone’s throw from Dyrham Park and in easy reach of Bath, the M4 and Bristol Airport.

On the menu, the focus is locally-sourced seasonal dishes and exciting takes on pub classics, while behind the bar they offer a wide range of real ale, craft beer, lager and cider from our award-winning brewery Butcombe, and a cocktail menu with all the classics.

Expect delicious seasonal dishes and hearty pub classics, with a focus on fresh ingredients and produce carefully selected by local suppliers. Behind the bar you’ll find a selection of award-winning beer from Butcombe Brewery, and you’ll notice that the menus and daily specials also feature Butcombe's ales where possible – such as the Butcombe Gold beer-battered fish and chips. When Sunday comes, it’s all about the Great British roast!

The team are happy to cater for all dietary requirements. The menus include several vegetarian and vegan options and gluten-free menus are available on request. There is also a dedicated children’s menu.

Inside, you’ll find cosy interiors and rustic pub charm with wooden floors, comfy carpets and large open fireplaces, as well as relaxed dining spaces for both intimate meals and larger gatherings, plus 9 boutique en-suite rooms full of comfy furnishings if you want to stay.

The pub is very dog-friendly, child-friendly and wheelchair-accessible and have a beautiful sun-trap beer garden – ideal for al fresco drinking and dining!

Situated in the Cotswolds AONB, The Crown is a great place to stop while visiting the area’s local attractions such as Dyrham Park, Lansdown Golf Club, Bath Rugby or walking the Cotswold Way.
