Museum of East Asian Art

About

Based in a restored Georgian building, the Museum of East Asian Art is the only museum in the UK solely dedicated to the arts and cultures of East and South East Asia.

The collection of 2,000 objects represents more than 7,000 years of the finest artistry and craftsmanship from China, Japan, Korea and South East Asia. Displays include jades, ceramics, lacquerware and metalware, and the museum’s Chinese bamboo and wood carvings are amongst the finest found in European collections.

Special exhibitions and events run throughout the year and the museum shop offers a range of unique East and Southeast Asian-inspired gifts and souvenirs.

MEAA On Demand is an online events portal where you can discover cultural insights from leading experts, in your own time and at your own pace. You can now enjoy a vibrant library of recorded events online, for you to connect with East Asian arts and culture whenever and wherever you are.
