Abbey Rise is a modernised Victorian townhouse with panoramic city views, offering a very high standard of accommodation in three, individually decorated en-suite rooms.
Beds are made with Egyptian cotton sheets and the bathrooms stocked with white fluffy towels. All rooms have a television and DVD player, and there is a small library of DVDs available to guests. Breakfast is served on a long oak refectory table, in an elegant dining room. A wide choice is available including fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals and homemade jams, as well as a hearty West Country breakfast featuring local farm eggs, bacon and sausages.
Abbey Rise is a short ten-minute walk to the centre of the city and Bath Spa Railway Station. Private, off-road parking is available.
The owner, Katherine Dewhurst, has a wealth of local knowledge and will also recall stories from her time spent as housekeeper at Buckingham Palace.
