Walk amongst the incredible stone circles and prehistoric landscape, discover more of Avebury’s outstanding archaeology at the Alexander Keiller Museum and travel through the centuries at Avebury Manor and Garden.
Built in the sixteenth century, Avebury Manor was refurbished by the BBC in 2011 for the television series The Manor Reborn. Avebury’s rooms were redecorated to reflect the lives of the people who lived there during five different periods: Tudor, Queen Anne, Georgian, Victorian and twentieth century.
At Avebury Manor you can really immerse yourself in the experience, sitting at the dining tables, lying on the beds and playing a game of snooker.
The garden has been arranged as a series of ‘rooms’, including the Kitchen Garden, Church Garden, Orchard and South Lawn. During the summer, picnic blankets are available to use in the Church Garden and you can also enjoy a delicious cream tea in the tea-room.
