July 

Keynsham Music Festival (30 June - 6 July)

Take in several days of music, comedy opera and more at this arts festival just a short train or bus journey from Bath in Keynsham's Memorial Park. 

Garden Theatre Festival (2 - 20 July)

Choose from two weeks' worth of theatre shows from nationally acclaimed companies, performed in the magical gardens of The Holburne Museum on a beautiful open-air thrust stage space. This year's programme includes shows that everyone will love, from a family-friendly production of The Secret Garden to performances of literary classics Pride & Prejudice and Romeo & Juliet.

Fire In Your Soul (4 - 6 July)

Set against stunning the beautiful backdrop of Chew Valley, enjoy a weekend of nourishing food, live music, holistic therapies, workshops, foraging walks, and shared moments by the fire. 

The Frome Festival (4 - 13 July)

This annual celebration of arts and culture has a fantastic line-yp for 2025, including musical performances from the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, acclaimed songwriter Guy Chambers, the Miki Berenyi Trio and the dynamic Hackney Colliery Band. The comedy line-up features headline sets from Lou Sanders, Andy Zaltzman, and the return of firm favourites Jarred Christmas’ Pop-Up Comedy and Amy Webber.

Balloons & Tunes Somerset (11 - 12 July)

Enjoy a thrilling weekend of hot air balloons, tribute acts and funfair rides at Royal Bath and West Showground.

Bath Carnival (12 July)

Join the city’s free annual celebration of carnival arts on Saturday 12 July, featuring a spectacular carnival procession through the city streets.

Party at the Palace (12 July)

Watch live performances from Seth Lakeman, The Wurzels, Mad Dog Mcrea and many more against the beautiful backdrop of The Bishop's Palace in Wells.

Bath Summer Fayre (18 - 20 July)

Head to Milsom Street for this free summer fayre, where you can explore a bustling open-air market with independent makers and producers, plus live entertainment at music throughout the weekend.

Somerset Food Trail Festival (19 - 27 July)

Celebrate the best food in the region on this local food trail. Visit market gardens, distilleries, bakeries, vineyards and more. Many events are free, but a few special events, such as the feasts, require you to buy tickets in advance.

Bath Hot Air Balloon Club Summer Festival (19 July)

Head to Snake Meadows in Saltford just outside Bath for spectacular hot air balloon displays, live tribute acts and family fun.

August

Lake Paradiso (1 - 3 August)

This new festival from the team behind the award-winning Valley Fest will be headlined by Trevor Nelson, Norman Jay MBE, Huey Morgan and more. Expect a weekend of heavyweight names and laid-back energy.

If Opera (7 - 17 August)

A series of operas, staged in the gorgeous surroundings of a secluded and peaceful new venue for 2025, Church Farm near Trowbridge. This year's repertoire will include Verdi’s Rigoletto as the centrepiece of the season, alongside Simon Butteriss’ interpretation of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. 

Farmyard Circus Family Festival (10 August)

Head to Beckford's Tower for a fun-packed day of circus shows, workshops, food stalls, music and giant bubbles!

Foodies Festival (29 - 31 August)

This food festival in Royal Victoria Park combines top chefs, tasty food, delicious drinks and live music. See headliners Symphonic Ibiza performing live on Friday 29 August, Blue on Saturday 30 August and Scouting For Girls on Sunday 31 August.

Mendip Family Festival (29 - 31 August)

Combine camping in the beautiful Mendip hills with two days of adventure and entertainment at Mendip Activity Centre! Expect an epic line-up of live music and adventure for the whole family, including free on-site activities and a Harry Potter outdoor cinema.

September

Bathscape Walking Festival (6 - 20 September)

The annual Bathscape Walking Festival showcases Bath as a fantastic walking destination, as well as the city's unique landscape. Keep an eye out for news of this year’s programme of free guided walks, led by knowledgeable local experts.

The Jane Austen Festival (12 - 21 September)

There's no better time to celebrate all things Austen than in 2025 which would have been Jane Austen's 250th birthday. Don't miss the 10-day Jane Austen Festival for an immersive Regency experience, where you can enjoy themed balls, experiences, tours, workshops, talks, and performances. One highlight is the Grand Regency Costumed Promenade, offering you the chance to walk alongside 500 costumed Jane Austen fans. This one-of-a-kind event begins at The Holburne Museum, then continues over Pulteney Bridge and past many of the landmarks in central Bath.

Yeo Valley Organic Garden Festival (18 - 20 September)

Green-fingered folk will love this weekend of hands-on workshops and expert demonstrations, designed to get your garden thriving.

Bath Children's Literature Festival (26 September - 5 October)

Europe’s largest children’s literature festival will bring some very special guests to Bath for a series of talks, workshops, and more free events suitable for children of all ages.

FilmBath (17 - 26 October)

Watch screenings and previews of the best new and upcoming films from across the world, alongside film-themed workshops and events in venues across the city.

Bath Oktoberfest (24 - 26 October)

Bavarian festivities return to Royal Victoria Park, including  live Oompah bands, traditional karaoke-dancing, traditional games, axe throwing, food stalls and of course plenty of German bier!

November

Bath Mozartfest (8 - 16 November) 

Celebrate the music of Mozart and his contemporaries with a series of concerts across Bath this November.
