In June, July and August, Visit Bath showcased Bath’s vibrant summer scene with our Summertime in Bath campaign.
We highlighted Bath’s fantastic summertime events, attractions, eateries and accommodation-providers, positioning Bath as a must-visit summer city break destination, and used a combination of events, quirky accommodation and unusual activities to highlight the lesser-known elements of the city, adding a modern feel to Bath’s well-known history.
The campaign proved a great success overall, with the Summertime in Bath landing page on our website attracting 98,612 views, making the page the third most popular on the site during the campaign period.
We sent out three e-newsletters for the campaign, two of which featured a Summertime in Bath competition, which had a fantastic prize package which included a two-night stay at The Gainsborough Bath Spa, a meal at The Cosy Club and a stand-up paddleboarding session with Original Wild.
Summertime in Bath press coverage included a feature in Bath Life Magazine and an ad in The Bath Magazine, and posters promoting the campaign were also stationed at GWR rail stations.
As part of the campaign, we are proud to have worked with the Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation. A new charity aiming to ensure a bright future for our local parks, they want to encourage more people to enjoy these special places, whether as a space to run free, to spend time outdoors with friends and family or just to escape the urban environment. Following in the footsteps of the pioneers who shaped our city’s parks heritage, the Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation aims to make parks better places to meet, play, learn, grow, breathe and enjoy nature.
