About

Join Bath Philharmonia to celebrate the opening of their 25th season in a big and brassy concert featuring the brilliant and ultra-cool trumpeter Aaron Azunda Akgubo (named one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024) performing Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto.

From the effervescence of Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto to the quirky and beautiful orchestral writing of the young and brilliant composer Florence Anna Maunders, this concert fizzes with musical fireworks. Bath Philharmonia, as a full symphony orchestra performs Jean Sibelius’ fifth symphony; a towering orchestral work that takes you on a journey across stunning vast landscapes, forests and lakes, details the magnificence of the natural world and includes an overwhelming finale inspired by a flock of swans in full flight.
