There’s something for everyone to do at Bath Children’s Literature Festival, Europe’s largest dedicated children’s literature festival, which brings a host of writers and illustrators to the city for live, interactive events for young people of all ages in September. Catch a play at Theatre Royal Bath’s young people's theatre complex, the award-winning egg theatre. Open throughout the year, the egg offers an extravaganza of performances every Saturday with additional shows over half terms and holidays. There are also frequent workshops and participatory sessions for children from two-and-a-half to 18 years old.

Bath’s many museums and galleries often offer family activities and workshops during school holidays to keep little ones entertained while learning something new.
