Bath Christmas Market runs from Thursday 26 November to Sunday 13 December 2026.

This year will see around 245 wonderful traders fill the city centre selling everything from local crafts and gifts to clothing and artisan food and drink, plus live music, street performers and more. Entry is free.

Accessible routes and toilets, quiet shopping periods and information for disabled visitors will also help make the market welcoming for everyone.

What's new this year

• Live entertainment: a new programme of live music and street performances adds to the atmosphere.
• A cosy place to warm up: an indoor space on Stall Street, with a bar, is a good spot to sit down with a drink.
• More of the city: for the first time, some chalets are on New Bond Street, so the market reaches further across the centre.
• More traders to discover: 61 traders are new to the market this year, and 80% of all traders are from the South West.

What to expect at Bath Christmas Market

Wander the chalets for jewellery, homeware, personalised presents and local food and drink. Stop for a mulled wine or hot chocolate, then try something from the street food caterers. Bath Christmas Market is passionate about supporting small businesses and giving a platform for emerging artisans to showcase their talents. These micro-businesses have access to short-term lets if they are unable to join the Market for its full duration. 

Opening times

The market is open from 26 November to 13 December 2026:

• Monday to Wednesday: 10am to 7pm
• Thursday to Saturday: 10am to 8pm
• Sunday: 10am to 6pm

The market opens with a residents' evening on Wednesday 25 November.

Getting to Bath Christmas Market

The market stretches along Abbeygate Street, Bath Street, Milsom Street and New Bond Street. It's about a five-minute walk from Bath Spa railway station and Bath bus station. Walking, cycling or taking public transport is the easiest way to arrive. Bath's Park & Ride three services run longer into the evening, with extra services during the market, and the stop is on the edge of the market. Great Western Railway is running extra trains on each Saturday of the market.

If you're driving, part of the city centre is in the Clean Air Zone, so check whether you need to pay before you travel.

Coach groups

Coach operators MUST book drop-off and pick-up slots in advance. All coaches should drop off and pick up in Royal Avenue. Bookings open in August each year and full information is available here: https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/coach-parking-bath.

Royal Avenue is about a 5 minute walk, 650 metres, from Milsom Street; the start of your Christmas Market journey. The walk into town is downhill, so please bare in mind that there is a slight uphill gradient when walking back.

There are toilets available, both general and accessible, for those using the coach drop off point. The drop-off site, as well as the market, is accessible to wheelchairs. Please bare in mind that some lanes in Bath are cobbled.

The market uses lower-carbon energy, has recycling facilities and limits single-use plastics. Bring a reusable cup for 50p off hot drinks at participating stalls.
