About

Attention all witches and wizards! Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the enchanting realm of Halloween magic at Wookey Hole, the ultimate home of Halloween. The Halloween events begin on weekends from the 5th of October and run daily from the 26th of October to the 3rd of November, coinciding with the Somerset School holidays.

The Witch of Wookey Hole will showcase her finest magic, helping visitors embrace the spooky season. But there's no need for alarm—this Witch prefers to treat children rather than eat them. The adventure begins with a tour through the grand chambers of Wookey Hole Caves, where guests can learn about the Witch’s legend and witness the aging of the most delicious cheese imaginable.

Upon exiting the caves, visitors can participate in the Giant Pumpkin trail, solving a mystery to win Halloween treats for the little ones. The journey continues to the 4D cinema, where a new adventure featuring the crazy characters of Happy Family: Next Level 4D awaits. Guests can also explore the mysterious past of Wookey Hole at the Museum, where they have the opportunity to handle the bones of surprising creatures that once called the Valley home. Those brave enough can watch real-life footage of divers exploring the darkest, hidden recesses of underground Wookey Hole in the cave diving exhibit.

Children can then burn off some energy in the giant soft play area, giving their grown-ups a chance to relax and enjoy a coffee. The Halloween adventure continues in the Circus with a spooky 30-minute original show, Ghost Pirates, exclusive to Wookey Hole. To round off the day, guests can visit the penny arcade, where vintage contraptions promise to send shivers down even the boldest spine. For those seeking a bit of friendly competition, a round of Monster Golf awaits—loser buys the hot chocolates!

A daily Fancy Dress Competition takes place at 2:30 PM in the Theatre, with the Witch eagerly awaiting the best-dressed attendees.

Wookey Hole’s Halloween event offers something for everyone, ensuring that every member of the family—from the smallest goblin to the wisest wizard—can partake in the fun. With all activities included in the ticket price, guests are guaranteed a magical day filled with adventure, legends, and Halloween spirit. Wookey Hole eagerly awaits to welcome all this spooky season!
