About

Participants are invited to attend a thought-provoking session exploring the Transatlantic Trafficking of Enslaved Africans. Using the museum collection, artefacts, discussion, and reflection, the session will examine William Beckford’s role, his wealth, and its lasting impact. The session is intended to support deeper learning and critical thinking for older learners and has therefore been designed for ages 12–17.

The session will run from 14:30 to 15:30. There is space in the surrounding landscape where participants may bring food to enjoy before or after the session.

Guide Prices

£5.00 per child.
1st adult free then £3.00 for any additional adults

Children must be accompanied by an adult (max. 4 children per adult).
