About

The literary escape festival is a one-day grassroots book festival celebrating independent authors, local creatives, and small businesses.

Designed to bring readers and makers together, the festival offers a welcoming and inclusive space to discover new voices, connect with authors, and enjoy a vibrant bookish atmosphere.

Taking place at the Percy Community Centre in Bath, the event will feature book signings and a curated selection of handmade goods from independent makers.

The literary escape festival is part of a touring UK-wide festival series in 2026, supporting independent literature and creative entrepreneurship while creating accessible and affordable cultural events for local communities.
