About

The Argyle returns to St Luke's Church with a concert full of luscious melodies and lively dances. The programme features Peter Warlock's Capriol Suite, a revered work in the string orchestral canon, and Alexander Glazunov's lyrical Saxophone Concerto, with outstanding soloist Emilija Auskalnyte.

These works are complemented by Heinrich Biber's Battalia a 10, a feat of baroque storytelling through music, and rich romantic string works from Peter Maxwell-Davies, Max Reger and Robert Volkmann.

The concert will be conducted by Adam Laughton and feature new leader - Antonia Fuchs.

As always, tea, coffee and homemade bakes will be available during the interval.
