About

Visitors to Longleat this Feb-brr-uary half term can look forward to an exciting Winter Wonders Week, a celebration packed with frosty fun and adventures for all ages. The event features an indoor snowy wonderland brimming with activities, offering the perfect setting for a cool and memorable day out.

At the heart of the event is The Longhouse, which will be transformed into a winter paradise. Guests can enjoy a thrilling 10-foot inflatable toboggan slide, test their skills on a snowboard simulator*, and immerse themselves in a playful experience inside the inflatable Snow Globe, ideal for photos and snowy fun.

The creative spirit continues with winter-themed arts and crafts, including cookie decorating, snowflake suncatcher-making, and snowman bookmark crafting. Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will also be on hand, running free workshops to make birdseed feeders while sharing fascinating insights into local bird species during the colder months.

Outdoors, visitors can embark on a winter tree trail, uncovering fascinating stories and folklore about Longleat’s historical trees while solving word scrambles along the way.

Animal lovers will have plenty to look forward to, as this half-term marks the reopening of the beloved Bat Cave. Guests will be among the first to visit the Egyptian fruit bats in their refreshed walkthrough habitat. They can also meet Chico and Truffles, Longleat’s Linnaeus’s two-toed sloths, as they settle into their new home.

Exploring the park on foot offers even more adventures. Visitors can wander through exhibits featuring koalas, meerkats, and rainbow lorikeets before setting sail across Half Mile Pond to meet the lively sea lions, cheeky Colobus monkeys, and a troop of gorillas. Additionally, the Drive Through Safari promises unforgettable encounters with the UK’s largest group of tigers, including four adorable cubs, mischievous monkeys, and a pack of African painted dogs.
