About

Anglo Welsh offers unforgettable canal boat holidays along the Kennet & Avon Canal with a wide choice of holiday boats available for hire from Bradford on Avon, Sydney Wharf and Monkton Combe.

As one of the UK’ leading canal boat holiday providers with nearly six decades’ experience, Anglo Welsh has a reputation for providing high quality, exceptional value narrowboat holidays for families, friends, couples and adventurers. With a fleet of 150 narrowboats at nine canal boat hire bases across England and Wales, there is a wide range of boats on offer from luxury to standard, with flexible accommodation options.

Anglo Welsh has three bases along the popular Kennet & Avon Canal. At Bradford on Avon Marina, there is a choice of 21 holiday hire narrowboats and four day boats. From this scenic location, you can visit UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath or cruise through the Wiltshire countryside to Devizes, Pewsey and beyond, stopping off at sleepy villages, historic market towns and canalside pubs along the way.

Anglo Welsh’s base at Sydney Wharf in the heart of Bath offers a choice of 10 holiday narrowboats, and access to one of the UK’s most scenic and culturally rich waterways. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring Somerset, Wiltshire and Berkshire — whether you’re planning a short break or a longer adventure.

Located between Bath and Bradford on Avon, the base at Monkton Combe has a choice of four holiday boats and is a fantastic starting point to cruise either east or west along the Kennet & Avon.

Anglo Welsh’s modern and spacious holiday narrowboat fleet ranges from boats with two to 12 berths. The boats have been designed for cruising comfort with smart interiors, clever storage and an impressive list of mod cons, from central heating and hot water to TVs, WiFi, fully equipped kitchens, showers and flushing toilets.

The day boats at Bradford on Avon are equipped with cutlery, crockery, a kettle, two-burner hob, fridge, sink and toilet. With constantly changing scenery and the choice of a new destination daily, narrowboat holidays offer the chance to slow down, explore the beautiful British landscape from a different perspective, and reconnect with friends and family.
